Holocaust

Barbed wire, gas chambers, rows of sad buildings, feeling of death all over the place, rails to nowhere and the Death Wall  – these are the images of Auschwitz and Birkenau – the symbols of the Holocaust.

The Holocaust was the mass murder and genocide of about  6 millions of Jews by the authorities of  The Third  Reich and its allies during World War II. Another ethnic group that was targeted by German persecution was Roma population – their extermination by the Nazi authorities is known as Porajmos.
